IT Relation strengthens its position in the Danish IT market

IT Relation has entered into an agreement for the purchase of the IT company Sotea and strengthens its position in the Danish IT market.

IT Relation has, over the last few years, expanded its activities throughout Denmark and with the acquisition of Sotea, the company is taking another step in the consolidation of its position.

Sotea has since 2000 been engaged in IT operations and support, focusing on providing hosted solutions that are safe, stable and developed with the user in mind. Sotea resides at Højbovej in Silkeborg, counts 22 employees and has a turnover of about DKK 35 million.

There are several reasons why Sotea is a good match for IT Relation. Managing Director of Sotea, Jess Munch Teilmann, elaborates on the choice of IT Relation:

“For a long time, we have considered how we could strengthen Sotea in relation to the rapid development of an increasingly complex IT world. We are aware that many companies want to gather their IT solutions with one supplier and that means that we, as an IT supplier, must be able to offer more and more specialized services and products”.

“We are therefore very happy to become a part of IT Relation. Here we will be a part of a strong organization and corporate culture. This gives our customers access to a very wide range of products and services, and we are even better able to develop ourselves”.

For IT Relation, the acquisition of Sotea is an important step that strengthens IT Relations position in the Danish IT market.

“Sotea's services and customers fit in well with our business model, and they have the same culture, drive and winning mentality that characterizes IT Relation. We are very proud that Sotea has chosen to become part of IT Relation and look forward to integrating customers, systems and employees into IT Relation,” says Henrik Kastbjerg, IT Relation CEO.

Sotea continues as an independent company in IT Relation and therefore Sotea's customers will not experience changes due to the acquisition. All customer relationships and contracts continue unchanged, and all the company's 22 employees continue under the new ownership. The integration is expected to be fully implemented during the second half of 2019.
